Steph: Great minds love the same designers? :) Thank you - I am trying not to think about the fit, and am concentrating on just finishing (or at least, getting the body done so I can try it on!).

bells: Colour accents are definitely the way forward! I bought a grey skirt the other day, which wasn't so adventurous, but then I also bought a red belt to go with it, so I forgave myself. :)

Oh that's very nice looking yarn. I'm after something to make in a similar shade of DK cotton. Nice idea!

I'm a mostly black person too but have been trying to add accents of colour, so I don't have to stray too far from what I love best.

Very well worded description of some of the many reasons Kim Hargreaves patterns are fabulous. =) (She's my favorite designer also.) Congratulations on taking the brave step into knitting the first large project for yourself. It can be a little scary. But I think it'll turn out beautiful. And I second Piglottie - I LOVE the color.

Piglottie: It's a lovely soft yarn, too, although it seems to be shedding angora on me (I'm so glad I'm not allergic - I'd soon know about it if I were!). I'm stuck on seemingly endless ribbing at the moment but I think it's going to be quite pretty when (if?) I finish. A big project like this is quite a shock to the system for a knitter-of-small-things...

I adore the colour of the Cashcotton - stunning! I've only ever knitted one cardigan for myself, but want to be braver this year. And I'm sure your finished cardigan will look gorgeous.
