Summer is not my most productive time of year. I don’t know why this is, but ever since the weather’s been getting cooler I’ve been just itching to do and make. I won’t over-analyse it, but I’m glad that I’m feeling more enthusiastic.
Witness the results (both are works in progress, but both are well on the way towards completion!):

Aeolian shawlette, just pinned out to dry.

Some of my handspun being knitted into a doll-sized cardigan.

I so love the Aeolian pattern. It is what keeps inspiring me to keep going on learning lace. One day I will feel up to the challenge and do a full size lace weight Aeolian and it will be beeyutiful!
It’s gorgeous, isn’t it? I attempted Laminaria in lace-weight once and it went a little bit wrong (okay, a lot wrong) so I decided that I would use 4 ply for my next lace project – and as it happens, it’s much easier when you can see the stitches! Still, I have lace-weight shawl aspirations too. I’m sure yours will be beautiful. :)
The Aeolian looks really lovely! And your handspun looks so gorgeous and well balanced! And it looks so good knitted up!
I’m just learning to spin now, and I’m sort of dreading to wind the single of off the spindle and find all the over- and undertwisted yarn. Mostly over twisted I think. :D
That Aeolian shawlette is looking lovely, and wow, your handspun looks amazing!
Glad to see your enthusiasm has returned. The shawl is looking beautiful, gorgeous color. I cant wait to see how the doll’s cardigan turns out too.
It is way too hot to be productive in the summer.
